112 days and counting...
Happy friday all. I've not known what to write lately and the weeks have been busy. I keep meaning to put another belly shot on, but i don't like any of the one's i've taken so far. I'll make that a priority this weekend because Peanut has definately had a growth spurt as of late. Though I still have 2 pairs of jeans i can wear!!! 24 weeks today--16 left to go. Well, if you put everyone in the same 40 week box I have 16 weeks to go. I'm hoping Peanut will be just a few days late because a good friend is getting married on my due date!!! I'm staying optimistic--the wedding is in downtown Seattle so only a 15 min drive to my hospital. Plus I thinks she'll be understanding if I end up not being able to make it :)
I've been spending my free time (what little there is!!!) looking at baby stuff online. Boy, it is that a complicated consumer category to wade through. So many options! So much junk I probably don't need. I'm loving the user review feature on Amazon, though, to look and see what other people thought of a particular product. I also have this great book,Baby Bargains, that a friend recommended to me. It goes through all the different categories of stuff you'd need for a new kid and then has recommendations, input form other parents, etc. It's been terribly helpful just for knowing what is out there.
As Jeff and I are thinking about registering, it's good to attempt to figure out what we need and what fits us as parents (and we'll figure out what fits Peanut as we go). BUT here's another frustration--the easiest place to register is Babies R Us. Since it is one of those "big box" stores, I'm a bit opposed. But i'll probably end up registering for some things there, via Amazon.comm but I am trying to come up with a couple of creative alternatives. Then I can put them all in a cool sidebar on this blog and point people that way when they ask.
More fun than baby stuff (on somedays) is dreaming about what kind of parents we want to be. Maybe i'll write on that on my next post.
Thanks for the name input!
