Lucas and I are each getting on in our own way while Jeff is gone for a week. I can't imagine being a single mom. They must be the strongest women in the world. After one week of trying to juggle school and work and home and child I'm very worn out. It has been a week full of good things, but I miss my friend and partner. Lucas seems to miss his Dad as well--his obsession with books has kicked up a notch as has his new obsession with flashlights (which to be honest is a lot of fun). He also seems to need more time than usual sitting in my lap or making up games that involve a lot of treating my legs like a tunnel to crawl between over and over.
Pic credits to Keba, who kindly watched him for me when I went to class Thursday night. They had an excursion together for smoothies, a Lucas favorite. He's so darn cute holding his own little cup and drinking out of the straw. Sigh, yeah, I'm a proud mama.

I tried a Jamba Juice the other day and I LOVE it!! I don't know why Mama has been keeping them from me. I want them three meals a day from now on. Let's get together and have one soon.
